Annual Meeting April 8, 2008 Chairperson Janice Johnson called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call was taken with all Board Members present. The Clerk verified that the meeting was published and posted. The Clerk read the minutes from the previous Annual Meeting. Kurt Graves made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Sue Ann Bruce seconded the motion and motion carried. Rose Graves gave the Financial Activity report. Kurt Graves made a motion to accept the report as read. Sue Ann Bruce seconded the motion. Motion carried. Janice stated that in the past year the town has received Tripp Funds to blacktop Minnesuing Road. This needs to be completed by 2013. The roof was replaced on the garage. We are in the process of replacing a fire truck. One mile of Ross Road was re blacktopped with Tripp Funds. The Town now has a website. The dumpsters have been moved. Janice thanked the people for their support and appreciates the help they have given the board. Sue Ann Bruce gave the Cemetery Report and stated that burial costs have increased. The cost of the lots has stayed the same. Janice Johnson asked for public comment. There was none. Sue Ann Bruce made a motion to pass a resolution allowing the board to exercise village powers for the purpose of master/comprehensive planning. Kurt Graves seconded the motion. A vote was taken and all 14 people present were in favor of passing the resolution. There was no one opposed to the motion. Motion carried. The next Annual Meeting will be held on April 13, 2009 at the Highland Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. Kurt Graves made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Bernie Human seconded the motion. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
