Comprehensive Planning Committee May, 7, 2008 The meeting was called to order at 7:20 by Chairman Will Kiefer. Present at this meeting were Will, new member Ron Stone, Sue Ann Bruce and town chair Jan Johnson. There were no corrections or additions to the agenda. No one signed up to receive information at the last board meeting. The transportation profile from last meeting was discussed and reviewed. It was decided to accept this as a working draft that will probably be readdressed in the future for amending or adding of more detail. This evening’s meeting centered on developing a housing profile. A discussion was held on some possible goals and objectives. It was decided to study housing information from some other townships to help the committee formulate the appropriate goals and objectives for our township. Each member will bring his/her suggestions to the next meeting. The next meeting will also address the economic development profile. It was suggested that each member also study goals and objectives from other townships’ profiles to help us establish the goals and objectives for Highland. The next meeting will be held June 4, 2008 at the Highland Town Hall. Acting chairman will be Ron Stone in Will’s absence. Willard will make sure the meeting is posted and will get the agenda out to the committee members.
