Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Highland Town Hall, a public hearing on the 2018 proposed town budget will be held.  The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection from the town clerk upon request.  State Statute 65.90(3)

Notice is hereby given of a Special Town  Meeting of the Electors of the Town of Highland on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  This Special Town Meeting will follow the completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2018 Town Budget, which begins at 6:00 p.m., at the Highland Town Hall.  This Special Town Meeting of the electors is called pursuant to Sec. 60.12(1)(b) of Wis. Statutes by the Town Board for the following purpose:

To adopt the 2017 Town Tax Levy to be paid in 2018 in pursuant to Sec. 10(1)(a) of Wis. Statutes.

Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, immediately following the completion of the Special Town Meeting of the Electors, which shall follow the public hearing on the 2018 proposed budget, which begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Highland Town Hall, a Town Board Meeting will be held for the following purpose:

There will be a Special Town Board Meeting on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Highland Town Hall. Items discussed and possible acted on will be the floor drains at the town garage, amending the remainder of the 2017 budget and creating a preliminary 2018 budget.

Request for Bids

The Town of Highland is seeking bids for the placement of gravel on Loon Lake Road.  Bids should include the road shaped, graveled, graded and compacted to a finished 4” depth.  Project will start near the intersection of Loon Lake and Murray Lake Road where blacktop ends for a distance of 2 miles.  Bids are due October 10th, 2017.  Work must be completed by November 17th.  An incentive of $2000 will be paid if job is completed by November 10th.  All bids should be submitted to the Town Clerk, PO Box 22, Lake Nebagamon, WI  54849.  Please mark “Bid Enclosed” on the outside of the envelope.  The Town of Highland reserves the right to reject any/or all bids.

There will be a Special Town Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Highland Town Hall. Items discussed and possible acted on will be applying for LRiP funds, hiring part time plow operators, creating a Road Plan, road and equipment expenditures for the remainder of 2017.
